Item Instock – Safety Guidelines

Item Instock is dedicated to providing a safe, secure, and reliable marketplace for buyers and sellers. If a transaction goes wrong, someone is attempting to deceive others, or you notice any prohibited items or prohibited conduct, report immediately via the in-app Help Center.

Online Safety

- Do not share your personal contact information (phone number, email) with other users. Interactions outside of Item Instock cannot be monitored or protected.

- Communicate with buyers or sellers through Item Instock’s in-app messaging feature to ensure there is a record.

- Use a credit card for purchases instead of a debit card; credit cards offer better security and purchase protection.

- Create strong, unique passwords including letters, numbers, and special characters. Change passwords regularly and avoid repeating passwords across accounts.

- Never share your Item Instock account credentials with anyone, including third-party sites. Item Instock will never request your password.

- Do not click on email links to log in; always access your account directly via iteminstock.com or the official app.

- Download the official Item Instock app only from verified stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store).

- If children use your account, monitor their activity closely.

- Review listings, photos, and seller reviews carefully before purchasing.

- Ask sellers questions for clarification before making payment.

- Report any suspicious or prohibited items using the Report feature on item pages.

Financial Safety

- Do not share your payment information or financial details with other users.

- Conduct all transactions through Item Instock’s platform; payments outside the platform are not protected.

- Avoid sending money to unknown individuals, especially if a scenario seems “too good to be true” or involves urgent requests claiming to help a friend or relative.

- Regularly review your financial statements for unauthorized activity and contact Item Instock immediately if suspicious charges occur.

- Inspect items thoroughly upon delivery. Buyers have 3 days from delivery to request a return. After 3 days or once the transaction is rated, sales are final.

- Test electronics or high-value items before confirming the transaction.

- Check phones for theft records with carrier tools.

- Verify luxury items using trademarks online or Item Instock authentication tools if available.

- If you suspect fraud or other criminal activity, contact Item Instock immediately via Help Center or call 888-325-2168. Report serious concerns to law enforcement as necessary.
